Users, Roles & Dashboard Groups Overview

Tools for managing your team: who has access, what they can do, and what they can see.

  • Users: Invite team members and manage sessions
  • Roles & Permissions: Control what each user can see and edit
  • Dashboard Groups: Segment dashboards by department or client

Resplendent Data uses role-based access control:

RoleLevelDescription
AdminHighFull access to data settings, billing, and company administration
StaffMediumCan manage users, dashboards, data sources, and operational setup
MemberStandardView and interact with assigned dashboards (read-only by default)

External viewers should use ShareLinks. ShareLinks are not a user role and do not require creating a user account.

Dashboard Groups control visibility. Instead of assigning dashboards to users individually, you create a group (e.g., “Customer Success”), add dashboards to it, then add users.

  • Segment access: Keep financial dashboards private to management
  • Client isolation: If you’re a reseller, ensure Client A never sees Client B’s dashboards
