Sample Dashboards
Sample dashboards are pre-built configurations with working widgets already connected to sample data. They are useful for getting started quickly or exploring what the platform can do before your own integrations are set up.
Who can access sample dashboards
Section titled “Who can access sample dashboards”You need Staff role or higher to open the Sample Dashboards gallery. The gallery is hidden in Liongard environments.
Browsing sample dashboards
Section titled “Browsing sample dashboards”- Go to Dashboards in the sidebar
- Click Sample Dashboards in the header
- Browse the gallery
Each card shows the title, description, and widget count. If nothing has been published to the gallery yet, you will see an empty-state message.
Adding a sample dashboard
Section titled “Adding a sample dashboard”- Find the dashboard you want
- Click Add to My Dashboards
- Wait for the copy to finish (the button shows a spinner while it works)
- The new dashboard opens automatically
Once copied, the dashboard works like any other in your account. You can rename it, move it to a folder, edit widgets, or share it. In the dashboard list, dashboards created from samples carry a Sample tag so you can tell them apart.
Sample data tables
Section titled “Sample data tables”Sample dashboards rely on read-only tables that live in a shared sample account. When you edit widgets:
- Sample tables appear in the data stream dropdown under a Sample Data group
- They are labeled (Read-only)
- You can use them in calculations and filters
- You cannot change their schema or sync settings
These tables are handy for testing layouts before your real data is connected.
Managing sample dashboards (sample accounts only)
Section titled “Managing sample dashboards (sample accounts only)”If you run the sample account that owns the shared data:
- Open the dashboard you want to publish
- Enter edit mode and open Dashboard Settings
- Scroll to the Sample Dashboard section
- Toggle Mark as Sample Dashboard
Enabled dashboards show up in the gallery for every customer. Disabling a dashboard removes it from the gallery, but does not delete copies that customers already added.
