Tier Limits

The tier limits page shows how much of your subscription you’re using. Check it to see if you’re approaching any limits and need to upgrade or clean up.

Each subscription tier comes with specific resource limits. The tier limits page shows exactly how much of each resource you’re using.

ResourceDescription
UsersNumber of team members in your account
IntegrationsConnected data sources
DatasetsTotal datasets (raw, modified, and joined)
DashboardsDashboards created
WidgetsTotal widgets across all dashboards
Filter variablesDynamic filter variables configured

  1. Click Additional Settings in the main sidebar
  2. Select Tier Limits

Each resource shows:

  • Current usage: how many you’re currently using
  • Limit: maximum allowed for your tier
  • Percentage: visual progress bar showing usage
  • Green: plenty of capacity remaining (> 50%)
  • Yellow: getting close to limit (25-50% remaining)
  • Red: near or at limit (< 25% remaining)

If you’re close to a limit, you have several options:

  1. Upgrade your tier: Get instant access to higher limits

    • Go to Company → Subscription
    • Click Manage Subscription to access the Stripe portal
    • Select a higher tier
  2. Clean up unused resources:

    • Delete old dashboards you no longer need
    • Remove unused datasets
    • Archive inactive users
  3. Optimize current usage:

    • Consolidate similar dashboards
    • Use modified datasets to reduce raw dataset count
    • Share dashboards instead of duplicating them

Some limits are soft limits - you’ll get warnings but functionality won’t immediately stop. Others are hard limits - you can’t exceed them without upgrading.

For a complete comparison of what’s included in each tier, see Subscription tiers.

  • Check tier limits monthly
  • Review before adding new team members
  • Monitor before starting major projects
  • Track usage trends over time
  • Upgrade before hitting limits to avoid disruptions
  • Consider annual billing for savings when upgrading
  • Use templates to create dashboards efficiently
  • Leverage modified datasets to reduce dataset count
  • Archive rather than delete when possible

You’ll see warnings in the UI when you’re close to limits. Either clean up resources or upgrade your tier.

If you can’t add something (new user, integration, etc.):

  • Check tier limits to see which resource is at capacity
  • Either remove existing resources or upgrade your tier

Usage statistics update in real-time, but there may be a slight delay:

  • Wait a few minutes and refresh
  • Log out and back in
  • Contact support if issues persist
