Eric AI

Eric is Resplendent Data’s in-app AI assistant. He can search the datasets you already have access to, explain results, author scratch Definition Files, and remember reusable company, Dataset, and personal guidance through the Knowledge Filesystem.

  • Search and analyze accessible datasets, joins, and Modified Datasets
  • Author scratch Query Widget Definition Files — bar, pie, table, number, and other display types — and move them into dashboards after preview and validation
  • Edit Report Blueprint composition and Report Element definitions from In-Report Eric and In-Editor Eric in the report editor
  • Create and update company Filter Variables (Dynamic, String, Number, and Search) and bind them into Query Widgets while building dashboards
  • Keep long-running work inside named conversations
  • Notify you with a desktop alert when a response finishes and you have stepped away from the tab
  • Update the Personal Knowledge Directory when he learns durable user-specific guidance
  • Propose shared Company Knowledge updates for approver review

Trace Viewer Admin-only session-level debugging view at /eric/traces/:sessionId
  1. A user opens Eric and selects or creates a conversation.
  2. Eric loads the session history plus a compact Knowledge Filesystem bootstrap.
  3. The user sends a prompt and Eric streams status updates, tool activity, and final answers back into the conversation.
  4. Eric can inspect and update writable Knowledge Files while working, including before his final response.
  5. Admins can open deeper diagnostics when they need to understand how a run behaved.
  • Admins can access Eric by default.
  • Staff and Members need the AI Chat Access feature permission turned on.
  • AI Assistant settings billing and capacity management are admin-only.
  • Users admitted to Company Knowledge can view and edit Knowledge Files in their own Personal Knowledge Directory.
  • Company Knowledge direct edits and proposal approvals require Company Knowledge Update Permission.
